Seasoned bellflower root
Doraji namul is bellflower root stir-fried and lightly seasoned, its clean, faintly bitter edge waking up the appetite. It is one of the classic three-color namul that never miss their place on ancestral-rite and holiday tables.
Bellflower root (doraji) — helps the airways by loosening phlegm and warding off colds; long used for bronchitis, sore throats and asthma, and gentle enough for children and the elderly. In season in July, mainly from Yeoju.
