A precious porridge cooked from the sea's tonic. Jeonbok-juk is porridge made with abalone meat and viscera; as abalone was rare, it was carefully simmered as a tonic and recovery food. The deep aroma of the viscera makes it like a tonic of the sea.
Abalone (jeonbok) — strengthens the liver's wellness function and is traditionally believed to help maintain healthy cholesterol levels; improves heart function and helps restore eyesight; restores vigor and relieves fatigue; its taurine dissolves gallstones and supports the kidneys.
