About the dish

Haemul-kalguksu simmers knife-cut noodles in a clean broth drawn from anchovies and clams. A specialty of the coast, it puts the shore's abundant seafood to work in one savory, refreshing bowl of noodles.

Key ingredient

Wheat flour — an energy source rich in carbohydrates and plant protein (gluten), with B vitamins and dietary fiber; the base ingredient of noodles, dumplings, jeon and more. Early-summer harvest, grown nationwide.

Main: kalguksu noodles, littleneck clams, shrimp, squid, zucchini, potato, scallion · Seasoning: minced garlic, soup soy sauce, salt

Simple recipe

  1. Draw a clean, refreshing broth from anchovies and clams.
  2. Prepare the kalguksu noodles.
  3. Add the noodles and seafood to the boiling broth.
  4. Add the zucchini and minced garlic.
  5. Season with soup soy sauce and serve piping hot.
